This section is designed to give the reader a comprehensive and expansive understanding of Russia, her history, culture, economy, laws, geography and vital statistics.

This is done through four major sections subdivided into 12 chapters.

Section One consists of information that gives the reader a good overview of today’s Russia and is broken up into the following chapters (click links to access sections):

Section Two consists of one large chapter on the history of Russia (History: From Ancient Times to the Present), reaching back over 1,000 years, beginning with the origins of Russia and ends with a discussion on the current presidency of Vladimir Putin.

Section Three contains interesting information relating primarily to the Soviet period and consists of the following chapters:

  • The Soviet Nuclear Program (19)
  • Cold War Propaganda Operations (35)

Finally, Section Four consists of information that is designed to round out the readers’ understanding of Russia and her history through two chapters, where one consist of 10 short biographical sketches of people who had a significant influence on Russia and the Soviet Union and a second chapter packed full of other information not easily classified under the other chapters of this book but useful nonetheless.

The information contained in each chapter is provided in factual “chunks” of information, or short factoids, chronologically arranged and allowing for a quick read without sacrificing depth of understanding. The number to the right of each chapter subject (above) indicates the number of “factoids” in that particular chapter.
